Omnicom Media Group MENA’s specialist companies strengthen leadership

New leads and roles in data, analytics and programmatic

As marketing communications continue to grow in sophistication, Omnicom Media Group MENA has named new leads for its analytics division, Annalect, and its programmatic trading desk, Accuen.

These specialist companies report to Dimitri Metaxas, recently promoted to regional executive director – specialist companies. Together, these businesses enhance the performance of group agencies OMD and PHD with data and technology products and services. Metaxas’ new remit covers the management of Resolution, of which he was formerly managing director, as well as Accuen and Annalect.

Raouf Ketani has joined Annalect MENA in Dubai as business unit director. He comes from Annalect UK, where he was director of data platforms leading the rollout of the Aggregate Knowledge Data Management Platform (DMP) as well as other global Annalect products. Ketani is a champion of digital analytics and data-driven strategies and, in his new role, will leverage his 15 years of international experience in web analytics, data platforms and ad operations. He will work closely with both his team at Annalect and the analytics and audience measurement specialists at OMD and PHD.

The group has also appointed Matyas Csendes as head of Accuen, bringing over 10 years of digital marketing experience at companies such as Cadreon, MEC Interaction and iProspect. In his new role, Csendes will elevate the role of the trading desk and enhance clients’ programmatic executions. As the programmatic space evolves and grows in significance in brands’ media investments, Bushair Muhammadunni returns to the group as Accuen’s head of inventory. In this newly created role, he will focus on improving the variety of publishers with which the group works. Together with Csendes, he will ensure Accuen provides access to exclusive inventory to clients of the group’s agencies. Muhammadunni’s role will also see him working with our publisher partners to deliver higher levels of viewability as well as policing fraud. Csendes and Muhammadunni report to Christos Solomi, group director-programmatic, who oversees both Resolution and Accuen.

“There is much demand for these services, in which we have invested heavily over the past decade. Raouf, Matyas and Bushair are here to stimulate further growth with their expertise in their respective fields,” said Dimitri Metaxas. “The industry’s use of data and automation will keep on rising. Hence, we will increase our momentum and dedication to these areas to provide our agencies’ teams with the best capabilities for future-proofing their clients’ businesses.”
